Job Description

Regulatory Analysis and Reporting - S2 Under moderate supervision, helps compile, synthesize and report on BNY Mellon or market data sources. Assists with access, maintenance and security activities. May manage databases, feeds and other data sources of low-to-moderate complexity. May assist with more complex data sources. Conducts preliminary, basic calculations for more senior colleagues and helps develop reports. With moderate guidance, supports day-to-day data management activities. Monitors data feeds and performs data scrubbing for the data management team. Participates in identifying and documenting violations, exceptions, or occurrences exceeding tolerance thresholds. Adds and maintains data on BNY Mellons systems. Inputs and verifies accuracy of information. Reviews information entered by more junior team members. May test software enhancements and upgrades as necessary. Monitors a variety of data feeds, databases and spreadsheets. May perform basic calculations, initiate the execution of data modeling programs and prepare initial drafts of simple charts, graphs or reports. Responds to data-related questions from internal and external clients. Responses to customers are thoroughly documented and verified. No direct reports. Provides guidance to less experienced team members, as needed. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. Helps develop and contributes to the achievement of team objectives.

This role is a member of the Legal Agreement Repository (LAR) team, whose objective is to support ongoing regulatory requirements. The role will be responsible for working with Operations and Legal teams to review contracts and extract material metadata which includes, but is not limited to, Master Securities Lending Agreements, Rehypothecation Agreements, Trust Agreements, Sub-Custody Agreements, etc. The role will leverage extraction software, attributed information and manual interpretation, will be responsible for raising defects at a document level and participating in projects to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the process. The employee will interact closely with Operations, Legal team members and the Lead Documentation Specialist to ensure operational efficiencies and data quality standards are met.

Qualifications

High school/secondary school or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Bachelors degree preferred. 1-2 years of total work experience preferred.
