Job Summary

AECOM is seeking for a Senior Scientist to be based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Responsibilities of this position will include, but not be limited to:

* Phase I/Phase II environmental site assessments (both office and field experience)

* Field reviews for roadway, bridge and transit projects

* Reviews of roadway, bridge, and transit design plans for possible impacts to construction.

* Generation of ERC comments

* Providing NEPA compliance services

* FDOT ETDM EST database reviews

* Assisting in preparation of PD&E documents

* Preparation of FDOT reports utilizing Microsoft Office and GIS

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Working in-house at District 4 headquarters with and for FDOT personnel with minimal supervision

Minimum Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or any related field plus 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

* Department of Transportation experience
