Job Summary/Responsibilities
AECOM is searching for candidates that have program and project management experience with leadership qualities, client-focused, impactful and decisive. This position will provide program and project management of largely Federal facility design projects throughout the Pacific region primarily in South Korea, Japan and Guam. This position may involve aspects of construction of facility type projects. The position is located in South Korea, Hawaii, or Japan. Locations around the Pacific Region will also be considered.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Manages large federal programs and responsible for the business development activities to facilitate growth in the business
* Engages in proposal development
* Regularly meets with the client to confirm expectations and to build a relationship
* Communicates with internal management on expectations and program status
* Engages with industry partners and firms
* Accountable to the P&L manager for overall successful delivery of the project and its projects, including the financial aspects
* Responsible for the AECOM project management tools
* Ensures compliance with the contract requirements
* Ensures execution of project deliverables consistent with the project plan
* Facilitates cross business line, inter-office and consultant work activities
* Effectively manages project personnel and technical interfaces
* Engages in development and presentation of client presentations and client meetings
* Coordinates the deliverables
* Coordinates with the Design Quality Control Manager
* Manages and maintains the schedule
* Responsible for the overall management administration to program and projects and assists in establishing specific objectives and policies.
* Provides management and guidance to other managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
* Responsible for administering all phases of the program and projects from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.
* Typical projects may include the following characteristics:
* Design-Bid-Build Projects
* Design-Build Projects
* Federal Projects
* Clients with a national geographic footprint
* Projects involving a full spectrum of services
* Other complexities, such as projects that involve litigation, environmental protection, due diligence, etc.
* Has consenting and regulatory authority for approvals.
Minimum Requirements
* Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture or related degree plus ten (10) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
* Currently a licensed architect or licensed engineer
* Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
* An Architect or Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the field of architecture, and a minimum of 8 years in the Federal Arena
* Experience in Federal business development activities and proposal development
* Experience with US DoD contracts and projects
* Experience in the Pacific region
* Familiarity with engineering principles in various disciplines and a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals
* Good communication skills essential for team-based working, including virtual and global collaboration
* Excellent planning and organization skills required for a fast-paced environment
* The candidate must be highly motivated, self-driven, and a critical thinker with a proactive attitude and willing and able to take on new opportunities and challenges
* The candidate must have the ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of applications proficiently
