PARCs Collaborative Visual Computing Area seeks interns to develop cutting-edge computer vision algorithms for medical image analysis. The CVC team leverages state of art deep learning algorithms to solve challenging problems in image classification, 2D/3D object detection and tracking in videos, fine-grain image segmentation, and image/video synthesis. Of particular interest are techniques incorporating unsupervised learning, cross-modal learning, and domain knowledge to train deep neural networks that are robust to sparse, noisy training data. We are seeking interns with a strong analytical background and hands-on implementation skills, as well as a keen interest in developing and applying advanced concepts to exciting real-world problems in healthcare. Interns will work under the mentorship of PARC researchers to turn novel concepts into demonstrable prototypes.

Requirements:

* Enrollment in PhD program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields, with specialization in computer vision
* Strong quantitative/mathematical background
* Expertise in deep learning and associated frameworks, e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet
* Hands-on algorithm and software development in one or more of Python, C/C++, MATLAB
* Strong communication skills
* Publication in top tier conference or journal

Desired Experience:

* Medical image analysis, including classification, detection, segmentation
