Head of WFAM Distribution Technology
WFAM ( Wells Fargo Asset Management) is looking for a strong senior technology leader with extensive engineering, development and management experience. You will oversee WFAM digital and Distribution technology team, partner with technology, business and operations stakeholders, ensure reliable projects delivery and set strategic direction for digital technology space. The role will report directly to the CTO of WFAM.
The primary task is to transform our capabilities, provide appropriate innovative methods, develop self-service tools, and build a state of the art technology organization. The role will ensure that WFAM can meet challenges of the rapidly changing financial services landscape.
As a head of engineering group you will work with software engineers, business leaders, and the larger technology organization to deliver high quality products.

Responsibilities include:
- Lead WFAM distribution and digital technology teams
- Partner with marketing and distribution teams to develop a digital strategy
- Drive digital innovation: work with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models.
- Manage vendors relationships to deliver system capabilities on time and budget and with high quality
- Partner with broader technology organization to rationalize data flows, application connectivity and smooth integration with various systems
- Partner with broader technology organization to ensure seamless integration of customer facing systems with the enterprise architecture
- Ensure transparency and accountability of teams and vendors in delivering new systems and capabilities
- Ensure sustainable operations and ongoing monitoring/alerting of environment
- facilitate migration to cloud environment
Experience/Skills
- 10-12 years' experience in developing technology solutions, with an emphasis on web/mobile agile application development and customer facing technologies
- Significant experience in technology project management including collaborative business partnerships, cross functional leadership/influence, vendor management and issue resolution
- Supervisory and team management experience
- Strong system design skills
- Strong knowledge of modern technology stacks (AWS/GCP), including build and automation, containers, messaging and cloud managed services
- Experience with hands-on development in one of the major languages (Java, C, Python)
- Experience with web technologies and frameworks:
-Front end frameworks (React, Flask, Angular, VueJS, Javascript)
- Back end frameworks (Django, Ruby, ASP.NET)
- BI Tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- Strong knowledge in micro services architecture:
o Open specifications: Swagger/OpenAPI/OpenTracing
o Security: Kerberos/OAuth
o Observability: ELK, Zipkin
- experience working in Asset management organization is a big plus
- experience working with sales ad distribution business partners is a plus.

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of technology engineering experience
* 4+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
* 5 + years of leadership experience including coaching, training, and mentoring
* 7+ years of technical design experience
* 9+ years of development experience with languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or R
* 6+ years of web development experience
* 3+ years of experience in front end application development, operations and automation using React, Redux, AngularJS and Node
* 3 + years of cloud computing experience
Desired Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience with Agile practices
* 5+ years of experience in an industry-standard programming language
* 4+ years of Build and CICD technologies experience
* 2+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
* A Master's degree or higher
* 10+ years of investment industry experience
