The Role
We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. The Project Lead SRE will focus on AWS for TruCare cloud development and productionalize the cloud in TruCloud.





As a Project Lead Application Software Engineer (SRE/ DevOps) you will:





t
* Responsible for building innovation in the areas of distributed system flow and resilience, and continuous feedback and delivery. Creating efficiency and cultural transformation through the curation of new systems and capabilities.
t
* Team Lead of SREs on Cloud Engineering team focused on mentoring and growing engineers
t
* Develop a roadmap and plan for Continuous Feedback and Delivery initiatives.
t
* Build platforms that teams can leverage to accelerate innovation in the areas of reliability, scalability and velocity.
t
* Develop cross functional code base for automation.
t
* Mentor team members in object oriented programming strategies.
t
* Provide technical leadership for software development and software operation transformation initiatives
t
* Implement and customize service mesh systems while leveraging strategies to package platforms and services



Additionally, you'll bring



t
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
t
* 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Experience with software engineering, enterprise operations support, object oriented programming, automation, consulting with internal customers, cloud based enterprise-grade cloud systems management and full stack engineering.
t
* Ability to quickly learn technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, Nginx, HAProxy, Elasticsearch, MariaDB, GoLang and Python
t
* Experience with Health Care applications development and design is preferred.
t
* Experience with Systems Engineering, Automation, Cloud environment, Docker Kubernetes and MongoDB preferred.
t
* Strong organizational and leadership skills
