An individual in the Architecture job family is a strategic resource for Optum. In this role you could be involved across many aspects of architecture, design, build, engineering and implementation of technical solutions and capabilities providing technical leadership. You will be responsible for communicating overall architecture vision, technical strategies, and trade-offs across various levels in the organization to gain buy-in. You will provide recommendations and technical guidance to improve performance, reliability, and reusability within the constraints of budget, resource and business dependencies. In this Senior Director role you will lead business solutions, capabilities, and will be an influencer that engages with client executives and stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Working with our business partners to define, develop and maintain the product vision, strategy, roadmaps and supporting metrics required to deliver and enhance a best in class omnichannel experience for our consumers
* Develop product technology strategies that will lower the total cost to own and operate technology, while modernizing the digital landscape and creating market distinction
* Own the digital technology vision of a portfolio of customer facing products and respective backlogs, prioritizing groomed features that will drive the greatest value and experience
* Work with agile teams to iterate and build; focus on prioritizing features that will deliver the greatest business value to the company, leveraging a broad set of technologies
* Provide thought leadership and industry expertise across a broad set of digital and data technologies that will support and guide business decisions around strategic investments
* Deliver best in class research that will inform products through market strategies and actively reviewing customer feedback while continuously incorporating findings into the product to measurable improve the Net Promoter Score (NPS)
* Deliver business transformation and modernization through disruptive technology innovation and market strategies
* Proactively Identify business challenges and opportunities for improving persona experience using data analytics, as well as customer/colleague feedback and pain points.
* Establish clear goals and objectives for the omnichannel experience and develop KPIs that will clearly indicate the progress towards those goals and business outcomes.
* Measure performance against expectations; revisit analysis and strategy in order to modify approach when a variance is recognized
* Work with external vendors when appropriate
* Develop polished executive-facing materials that promote portfolio technology strategies aligned to business direction backed by crisp content
* Pursue opportunities to adopt new technologies and drive adoption to enhance business outcomes
* Drive and mange high-quality execution across organizational lines
* Influence without authority and negotiate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to achieve win-win solutions that advance organizational goals

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher
* 10 + years of progressive technology leadership experiences
* 5+ years of experience in digital product development, e-commerce or e-business, innovation, and/or health care capacity
* 5+ years of experience with analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to link product design and features to strategic objectives while using hard data and metrics to substantiate up assumptions and recommendations
* 5+ recent years of experience with digital, cloud, data and open source technologies
* 5+ years leveraging and acting on customer insight data to exceed previously established business goals that focus on a customer first mindset
* Track record of presenting to and working with an executive audience
* Proven track record of system and/or vendor integration expertise
* Experience architecting scalable technology solutions that adjust to cyclical business patterns
* Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $130,300 to $250,200.
