Location: NY Metro market (NJ, Eastern PA, and southern NY)
This position reports to the Sr. CCM and supports Category Leadership efforts by providing ad-hoc category and shopper analytics and developing actionable recommendations to drive category/brand growth at our Direct Northeast accounts.
Utilizes Department & Category Leadership Platforms to create actionable and relevant insights that can be applied to retailer-specific category strategic and tactical plans, including:
* Shopper insights
* Shelving guidelines
* Macro space (customized syndicated data pulls and analysis)
Developing and building assortment builds for demand transfer projects:
* Building and analyzing cumulative sales and illustrating inefficiencies by SKU
* Building and analyzing ROM (rest of market) SKU ranking and opportunities
* Forecasting new item adds / innovation / cannibalization
Develops recommended core POGs incorporating optimal assortment and merchandising principles
Assists in developing insight-based recommendations of space management, sales, distribution, pricing and promotion
Leads TPD forecasting and performance scorecarding for accounts
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BA degree in related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in Category Management, Sales, and/or Consumer Insights. Food industry experience a plus.
Computer Skills: Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Experience analyzing data & providing actionable insights utilizing retailer data sources, as well as advanced-level syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) usage; excellent planning and project management skills; strong ability to leverage creative thinking.
Travel: As needed. Estimated 20%, to include customer meetings, national category & sales meetings, etc.
