Sr. Industrial Engineer Marlborough, MA

Job Summary

Senior Industrial Engineer provides innovative, simple solutions that allows the stores and other business partners to operate more efficiently while driving profitability and sustainability through the Vendor-DC-Store supply chain network. Supports the store allocation of associate labor through accurate engineered labor standards.

Responsible for new and remodel store layout/design and new equipment and processes to support operational efficiency and damage reduction.

Responsibilities:

* Support complete store layout (service desk, front end, layaway, backroom office area, dressing rooms)
* Liaison with Field and HO partners to innovate processes (primary participant for Lean Six Sigma projects)
* Material handling needs
* Efficient scheduling and staffing of store processes and analysis
* Improved process or equipment for markdown management
* Responsible for refreshing and development of new engineered labor standards based on new technology, methods and equipment
* Forecasted Labor allocation and optimization (working with Workforce Management)
* Support of ROI analysis
* Performs other responsibilities as required or advised.

Minimum Skills and Requirements

* (3) to (5) years experience as Industrial Engineer
* Bachelors Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial)
* Distribution Center/Retail experience preferred
* Understanding of Time Study Techniques and work methods analysis
* Familiarity with MOST technique a plus
* Project management skills, Standard Pro is a plus
* Strong Excel Skills is a Must (Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, Concatenate)
* Experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
* Travel is required
