Job Description

Global Product is focused on building additional important ecosystem capabilities and flexibility into our existing platform architecture to more quickly launch new, innovative offerings that create tremendous value for payments aggregators (e.g. Financial Institutions, Merchants, Processors, and Emerging Payments Providers) and delight end consumer users. The fast-moving world of payments requires us to continually innovate to continue growth and being the best way for to pay and be paid. We are forming a small team to begin the focus on building out the next generation of our Visa Network, and we are looking for a Product leader with expertise in VisaNet to help us formulate the key elements that will drive the strategy, development, commercialization, and deployment.

We are looking for an individual with the ability to act as a senior thought leader in network product capabilities both specific to VisaNet technology and as it relates to needs of participants in the payments ecosystem. The individual should be comfortable adapting to change with a proven track record of success in technology related, fast-paced environments with demanding timelines who have a demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and work across various stakeholders and specialized product groups. This position will report to the SVP, Global Product responsible for Open Visa Net and will interacts across all levels within Product, Technology and across other specialized functional groups.

Essential Functions

Work with Technology to understand and ensure new capabilities deliver expected user experience and are on time and within budget.

Develop, deploy, and manage product roadmap independently, requiring limited oversight as a key product management leader of the OVN initiative

Collaborate with senior and executive leaders to align product strategies and ensure proper coordination and messaging where appropriate. Provide executive briefings and ensure awareness of product rollout and migration

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree; 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD)

Preferred Qualifications:

Self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record for successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing payments products

12-15 years of payments experience, including experience in product or project management, and in payments processing technology

Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results

Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers

Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, obtain buy-in and elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary. Active listening skills required.

Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way and strong documentation skills, including PowerPoint

Detail oriented and highly execution focused by working in conjunction with various counterparts across multiple functional groups

Ability to influence, negotiate and drive results, ensuring that timelines are adhered to and any risks to the project are called out early

Embrace change and ambiguity in an ecosystem that is rapidly evolving.

Work Hours / location:

While the determined location is Foster City the new working environment suggest this role can be fulfilled from other location and performed remotely. The incumbent must make themselves available Pacific Time Zone and London time zones.

Travel Requirements:

This position requirements are unknown in the current environment. As the initiative evolves into a go to market phase This position requires the incumbent to travel up to 20% of the time.
