Overview

TDS, voted as one of the Best Places to Work and a diversified Fortune 1,000 company, has an excellent opportunity for an IT Audit Intern! We are open to filling this internship at either the U.S. Cellular headquarters in Chicago, IL -OR- at our Corporate office in Middleton, WI.

The ideal candidate would be available full-time this summer and part-time (at least 10-15 hours) during the 2021-2022 academic year. Due to current conditions we support virtual work until it is safe to return to the office.

Responsibilities

The IT Audit Intern partners with, and learns from, a diverse integrated audit team. You will have the opportunity to help drive audit projects and initiatives throughout the TDS family of companies while gaining hands-on experience in the following areas:

* Assist with performing IT audits of moderately complex systems across the TDS Enterprise
* Determine if appropriate internal controls and compliance practices have been implemented in the IT environment, and if such controls are operating effectively
* Conduct independent testing of selected key IT General Controls (ITGC) and conduct appropriate follow-up with control/process owners on any identified exceptions
* Prepare deficiency assessments as required to support the SOX compliance activities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Management of Information Systems (MIS), Accounting or other relevant accredited program
* 2+ semesters related accounting and/or information systems coursework, preferably with exposure to IT Audit concepts
