PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Team Lead will effectively and consistently drive the team to meet and improve current goals. They will support the development of direct reports through coaching and various training initiatives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

* Plan and schedule the efficient use of manpower and equipment to accomplish daily objectives
* Thorough understanding of workload priorities and their interrelationships with other departments
* Lead the movement of goods through the warehouse to ensure that customer compliance requirements are met
* Must possess high personal energy and the ability to drive daily organizational measurements
* Must embrace the team environment with good interpersonal and above average communication skills
* Coach, train, and appraise new hires to attain the highest operational quality and achieve specified productivity levels
* Support development of direct reports through coaching and various training initiatives
* Continuously monitor performance standards in the department and seek operational improvements to raise those standards when possible
* Develop and manage a cross training program to achieve a flexible workforce
* Maintain a highly motivated workforce by timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, and recognition for good work or ideas
* Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with demonstrated results
* Must have above average attendance, response to requests to support special operations, and ability to support overtime for success in this position

REQUIREMENTS
Education Required:

* HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
* Some college is a plus

Work Experience Required:

* 1-2 years experience in a distribution center required
* WMS or similar distribution software experience required
* Leadership experience and ability in a warehouse environment is preferred
* Forklift experience is required

Skills & Knowledge Required:

* Broad knowledge of methods and procedures used in the various distribution center functions
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to train
* Computer proficiency including use of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands
