Position Summary

This position is responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, programming the CNC milling machines, and adjusting the machine settings until the desired specifications are met. This position will also work with cross functional teams regarding any quality and performance issues that might arise during machining.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Develop robust, costeffective machining processes that meet quality requirements for the Machining Department
Develop and maintain CNC machine programs using Mastercam software
Specify equipment, tooling and supplies needed
Provide technical support and guidance for hourly employees
Meet and improve quality standards to reduce rework and nonconformance
Meet and improve performance standards for increased productivity
Project development and management along with engineering team
Assist in Root Cause analysis and in implementation of corrective actions
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Experience & Education

Machine Tool Technology degree with five to ten years of manufacturing experience in the machining field along with experience developing programs for CNC mills and lathes.

Required Skills

Working knowledge of machining processes and practices
Working knowledge of Mastercam software
Understanding of dimensional inspection and GD&T requirements
Ability to read, interpret and develop NC milling programs from blueprints
Prior machine installation and startup a plus
Prior experience with Fanuc controls a plus
Prior experience with Catia a plus
