Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a candidate to lead the Systems Theoretical Process Analysis Security (STPA-Sec) efforts as a sub-lead to the Systems Security Engineering (SSE) team under the Mission Defense Team (MDT) IPT for the GBSD program. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you rsquo;ll get to do:
The lead role would combine traditional Systems Engineering skills, with a holistic systems analyses approach in order to uncover any potential safety, security, or availability features using the existing STPA handbook guidelines, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) workspace. The STPA lead would be collaborating with other MDT entities to include Nuclear Surety and Cybersecurity, along with elements of our Systems Engineering and MBSE team.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Qualification
You 39;ll bring these qualifications:
* Bachelor 39;s degree in a STEM field from an ABET accredited institution
* A minimum 9 years of related experience with Bachelor 39;s degree; 7 years with a Master 39;s; or 4 years with a PhD
* US Citizenship with an Active Secret Security Clearance or higher
These qualifications would be nice to have:
* Active Top Secret Clearance
* Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* System Analysis skills (i.e. able to break down system and mission functions to identify critical functions)
* Experience with Safety, Security, and/or Reliability/Fault Analyses/FMECA Engineering
* Proficient in MBSE/CAMEO
* Proficient in DOORs
* Experience with evaluating complex weapon systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Candidate is independent and self-motivated
* Candidate can work with minimal supervision
* Proficient at Problem Solving
