Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an Engineer Manufacturing to join our team in Palmdale, CA. In this role, your responsibility will be to conceive, develop, implement, and transition new technology solutions to the manufacturing floor to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve quality. The skills we are looking for are creativity, leadership, communication, critical thinking, and thoroughness.
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree with 2 years of experience in production assembly/fabrication and/or production manufacturing operations; OR Associates Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of work experience in production assembly/fabrication and/or production manufacturing operations.
* Proficient in MES platform to view and navigate Visual Aids
* Must have a current active DOD Secret Clearance
* This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* Ability to work 1st shift quot;5am-3:30pm quot; or 2nd shift quot;4:12pm-2:42am quot; and any work schedule (times may vary)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with understanding of coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
* Experience working hands-on in a production assembly line environment
* Experience providing innovative techniques focused on improving product designs and tooling assemblies or equipment
* Experience with budget, cost, schedule
* Active PAR clearance
