Position Title: B&G Painter Technician, M-F, 6p-2a
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Winchester, VA
Job Summary:
This position will report to the maintenance supervisor. In this role, you will protect all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job. Meet with maintenance supervisor to discuss color and projects for each job. Ability to complete projects on time. This will be a position where candidate will be working as the sole person in this role at most times
Job Duties:
Manually applies various finishes to the facility: walls, floors, or other structures, including primers, paints, and sealers.
Prepares, cleans, and tapes all painting project. Removes old paint coating, if necessary.
Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency. Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
Maintains a safe area by installing barriers and signage to keep traffic away from working areas
Works in a safe manner and disposes of supplies and chemicals per approved methods.
Documents his/her time and materials per the work order process
Must be able to collaborate with the technical group and production group.
Ability to stay on task unsupervised and ensure you complete each project in an efficient, timely manner.
Keep working area clean and organized. Inventory and order all paint supplies. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all safety guidelines.

Associate must have the ability to work primarily independently and proactively in a highly collaborative and changing environment. Associate must have a strong customer service orientation, with impressive communication and interpersonal skills. Associate must work within the company policies and guidelines in a safe and effective manner. Changes in priority are frequent. Position requires working and 8 hours/5-day schedule with a potential of scheduled weekend and/or holiday overtime and some flexing of the work schedule. Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED preferred
2+years of painting experience
Basic computer skills
Must be able to lift 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs
Work in an environment with extreme temperatures and loud noises
Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers and being a team player
Internal candidates cannot have more than 3 points in attendance, or a 1st written warning within the last 3 months, 2nd written warning within the last 6 months or final warning within the last year
