The Azure Maps team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to advocate for and assist customers and developers across all industries who need maps in their appswhich is everyone! We are looking for someone who can promote the product in the developer community with webinars and developer-oriented blogging - including code samples. Someone that is working every day with customers and partners to help them understand our product and collect customer scenarios and requirements that subsequently drive our innovation and investments in mapping services. You will work on the intersection between customers / partners and our in-house development teams. Candidates must be flexible in their ability and desire to assist building customer applications across map data, location data service, big data storage infrastructure, developer platform and user experience. Most importantlyyou must be passionate about our customers!
This is a Technical PM role, and you are customer facing. Experience architecting complex systems, especially of a geospatial nature will help you find success in this role. You will code, you will talk to customers, you will present at conferences, you will be the Azure Maps technology resource from whom our customers will love to learn!
- Advocating towards our customers to grow the users of the Azure Maps product by interations with customers. Interactions include presentations, discussions, workshops amongst others.
- Writing code samples to try out and demo for our customers
- Writing blogs on new features to share and gain feedback from users
- Bringing customer feedback into the organization to influence our product roadmap
Required Qualifications:
* 5+ years industry experience and demonstrated track record of collaborating with customers, working across various platforms and coordinating with product teams
* Exposure to cloud computing and location-based web services
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
* 3+ years industry experience designing and architecting customer solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
* Familiarity with Azure's plethora of capabilities would be highly beneficial, but not required
* Ability to impact & influence customers with great technical acumen
* Ability to influence without authority
* Strong communication skills
* Bonus points if you showcase your skills by building an application using the Azure Maps APIs that solves a customer problem.
