PRIMARY PURPOSE:
It is the Conversion Lead responsibility to facilitate the day-to-day conversion to ensure accurate and timely completion of conversions between events.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Set and strike staging which may include risers, chairs, bleachers, house drapes, carpeting, portable flooring, hockey dashers, ice making, boxing rings, etc.
* Store equipment in pre-designated areas; perform minor maintenance on equipment used for setting and striking events
* Operate company vehicle and any mobile equipment related to arena operations
* Perform administrative duties related to event productions
* Work along Conversion Tech II staff on all other conversion related duties
* Perform other job-related duties as requested
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while working under pressure
* Experience in computerized/automated time clock software
* Knowledgeable of staging and production and Ice equipment
* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
* Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
* Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
* Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
* Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
PREFERRED:
* Two (2) years of conversion/stage production experience or public venue/event related building including two (2) years of Lead experience
* Forklift operation experience
