Job Description Summary:

The Manager SME, Data Science position is a technical role within the Advanced Analytics team based within Maxims Corporate Finance organization. In this position, the candidate will contribute to building and deploying predictive and prescriptive systems and software that enable effective decision-making across the business enterprise.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:

* Assist in the development of new analytics products supporting the Maxim enterprise.
* Identify, build and leverage data sources supporting the development of product, business and process models.
* Implement and deploy statistical models, machine learning algorithms and data mining tools to improve insights, enhance data-driven business strategies, and increase profitability.
* Build relationships with internal business partners to find and drive analytic projects and solutions.
* Effectively communicate and translate results to our executive leadership and business unit teams in appropriate business terms

Minimum Qualifications:

* Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences or other quantitative disciplines.
* 3+ years of experience in developing system models, prediction algorithms, data mining techniques, econometric models, etc.
* Demonstrated experience building statistical and machine learning systems and applying them to real-world business problems
* Demonstrated expertise using Python and SQL is required. Knowledge of C/C and R is a plus.
* Experience with Git, CI/CD, SciPy (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) highly preferred
* Proven ability to rapidly prototype and demonstrate analytic solutions and algorithms
* Demonstrated ability to match the best tools and methods to business opportunities
* Analytic consulting experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred
* Knowledge of semiconductor industry is preferred
