Overview:
The Manager, Business Administration leads the essential activities and colleagues that drive At Your Service and Stores business processes that allow Macys Stores to successfully run. The role focuses on establishing Customer Service standards for the At Your Service destination in stores, as well as human resources functions, such as interviewing, hiring, staffing and scheduling to ensure the Store runs smoothly. Additionally, this position handles store operations and administrative functions such as budgets and cash office functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
* Lead At Your Service front of house staff, including customer service and support, product pick-up, returns, bill pay, etc.
* Responsible for leading and managing the successful implementation and achievement of defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for Curbside Pick-Up, ensuring a safe, efficient, and punctual experience for customers. Lead and coordinate the AYS colleagues to meet goals and flex between AYS and Curbside operations.
* Drive the training, on-boarding, and successful deployment of all tech and store-wide process initiatives, ensuring high level of adoption, tracking user experience needs, and aligning with Central Team on regular updates to outline prioritized enhancements.
* Lead recruitment and essential functions of the hiring process including developing efficiencies in prescreening applicants, corresponding with applicants, interviewing, selecting the best talent and coaching peers in all aspects of hiring.
* Key stakeholder in the TA process, responsible for ensuring job postings are maintained appropriately and filled in a timely manner.
* Lead the colleague onboarding process, to ensure a rapid learning curve, raising engagement of new hires and reducing turnover rate.
* Direct strategies to lead new hire orientation and training sessions as needed.
* Manage non-payroll supply budgets logs and balance store checkbook; review seasonal payroll/non-payroll budgets.
* Strategize with other Store Leaders on Staffing and Scheduling workforce solutions to ensure the Store is being led efficiently.
* Manage all post-production schedule changes for the store to ensure that schedules are as accurate as possible.
* Direct responsibility for 2 or more FTEs.
* Interview, hire, train, direct, manage, coach, develop, coordinate, evaluate, and discipline direct and indirect reports; establish strategy for work; provide insight and decision support; direct and manage team to meet or exceed performance and behavioral expectations; address complaints from and resolve problems with colleagues.
* Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis.
* Utilize review process as a tool for Colleague talent development, promotion and advancement.
* Lead team responsible for balancing the vault and perform other cash functions on a daily basis; perform monthly cash office self-audit.
* Direct team who will replenish and balance registers; lead research and resolve cash shortage issues.
* Schedule, coordinate, and confirm work order completion by 3rd party contractors/vendors.
* Act as the key store contact with Central Business Partners; act as liaison with systems team; submit and follow-up on work orders as needed.
* Direct and organize weekly store recognition rallies; maintain store bulletin board program to drive engagement.
* Administer the Safety program and accident reporting process.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
* High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred, but not required.
* A minimum of 3-5 years retail management in a department or specialty store.
Communication Skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to draft reports and other communications, effectively present information to management and internal and external business partners, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Physical Demands:
* Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle, and feel.
* Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms.
* Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
* Requires close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Mathematical Skills:
* Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Other Skills:
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Exchange.
* Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Self-motivated. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills. Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team.
* Must possess a strong sense of urgency.
* Must be proficient in the use of computers and RF equipment.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Highly organized, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Work Hours:
* Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
