This position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems program where tasks will include the following: requirements decomposition; trade studies; risk abatement; system architecture design; hardware integration planning; and supplier coordination. As the program matures and hardware becomes available, responsibilities will include hardware and software integration and test.

This Systems Engineering position is focused on system development, including systems engineering, design, supplier management and integration and test.

Success in this role requires a combination of team work, independence, and flexibility. The preferred candidate must be a self-starter with demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to efficiently manage time and tasks. The candidate will work cross-functionally with other engineering disciplines, as well as with program leadership and external customers and suppliers.

The ADP program environment includes complex, integrated system requirements, aggressive milestones, and dynamic task prioritization. The ability to complete assigned work within budget and schedule is required. The selected candidate will be expected to consider innovative approaches to maximize program performance.

The selected candidate will be required to prepare and help with briefings as required to customers, technical leads, and/or Lockheed Martin management. The candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills. Minimal travel may be required to Customer facilities and Lockheed Martin sites.

The selected candidate must be a US citizen and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (including an investigation within the last 5 years). The candidate must possess and be able to maintain a DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain a SAP/SAR clearance.

A level 2 employee Typically has 2 - 5 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
STEM or related technical degree

System development experience

Supplier management experience
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR)
Familiarity with the product development lifecycle
Good with working in a Team Environment
Experience with Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
Experience with supplier management and customer interface
Experience working special access programs
Experience with Integration & Test
Experience working on complex technical problems and working through technical evaluations, compilation of results, and development of recovery-plans/options
Experience with cross-functional teams focused on design, fabrication, installation, and testing of avionic components
