Job Description:
As a Radar Systems Engineer 3, you are responsible for radar system design and analysis in our programs and projects.
This position supports the Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T;) division, which specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:
* Radar system synthesis and conceptualization in a design-to-cost environment
* Radar performance prediction in benign, cluttered and EA environment
* Radar requirements definition, flow down and traceability
* Radar system trade studies such as waveform, frequency, antenna configuration, phase noise, etc.
* Present results during internal and external program meetings
* Generate proposals and white papers for new business pursuits
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* U.S. citizen
* Existing DoD clearance with a current update; must be able to obtain additional clearances as required
* BS degree in Engineering or Science
* 5+ years' relevant experience in radar system requirements development, analysis, design, integration and test
* RF background with a working knowledge of electronic scanned antennas, receivers, exciters and digital signal processing
* Proficiency with Matlab or Python
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
* Must be able to travel up to 20%; support field testing
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Advanced degree
* Radar system simulation and modeling is strongly preferred
* DOORS experience
* Millimeter wave radar, radar seeker design and analysis, and Risk Radar experience is preferred.
* EVMS and Design-to-cost is preferred.
* Excellent people skills, with experience leading and collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
