Job Description

The Storage Architect will be part of the EIT Secure Area Enterprise Architecture team. This position will support multiple secure areas across local and national sites. The primary responsibility of the Architect is to provide Storage and Data Protection design consulting services and be the driver behind the storage standards for the Secure Area organization. The Storage Architect will help set the standards used for storage inside secure area, maintain the storage baselines by establishing, documenting and maintaining the storage configuration and coordinate asset management tracking for annual maintenance support contract renewals.

Job Responsibilities:

* Provide Storage and Data Protection design support for secure area environments projects and programs.
* Establish, document and maintain configuration and security standards per ICD 503 (RMF) for the administration of Storage Networks, NAS and Data Backup and Archive.
* Storage Asset Management tracking and vendor coordination for annual maintenance support contract renewal.
* Consulting with programs or pursuits to design and recommend Storage and data protection.
* Capable of leading and managing storage expansion and upgrade projects.
* Provide and manage training and training opportunities to the Secure Area IT team.
* Learn and advise on company, IT, and security policies.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in IT, MIS, CIS, CS or equivalent, and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
* Nine (9) years' experience in Storage Administration managing an enterprise environment.
* Current SSBI and a current TS/SCI Clearance with Poly.
* CompTIA Security + Certification or in the process of obtaining it.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proficiency with Red Hat Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
* Advanced proficiency with RAID, SCSI, Fibre Channel, TCP/IP, and Volume Management.
* Intermediate proficiency with NetApp Storage Appliances, Hitachi HUS or G-series Storage Arrays, and Brocade Fibre Channel SAN switches is required.
* NetApp, Hitachi, Brocade or SNIA certification preferred.
