Job Description:
Reporting to the Business Manager and in support of the Program Manager and Cost Account Manager, the Program Financial Analyst Intern/Co-Op is responsible for the updating, analysis and monitoring of programs costs and EACs for the company profit & loss and the maintenance and reporting of U.S. Government costs, along with assisting with internal and external audits and requests for proposals to the customer.
* Responsible for the financial functions associated with the program execution process
* EAC analysis and updates, including monthly CAM Reviews
* Monthly Internal Program Review preparation, analysis and presentation skills
* Preparation of Monthly Internal Program Reviews - Earned Value data, cash analysis, estimates at complete
* Forecasting monthly throughput, cash and net cash updates and analysis
* Resource planning updates and analysis
* Material purchase requisition analysis and approval
* Monthly EAC / Earned Value / CAM Review updates working with Program Management and Control Account Managers, analysis and lockdown
* Program Budget baseline development and maintenance
* Experience with multiple US government contract types (FFP / T&M; / FPIF / CPFF) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly US Government reporting requirements
* Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for new or existing development programs which satisfy company and customer reporting requirements for program status. Assist in the development and status of reporting critical path networks.
* Maintain schedules, perform Risk Analysis, identify and resolve critical path issues and network logic conflicts
* Identify potential risk areas, formulate and recommend corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, funding re-alignment, work requirements, resource re-alignment
* Interface with all functions at all levels in creation and maintenance of schedule data including presentation of schedule activity status, and gathering of status in meeting with all functional levels.
* Analyzes program schedule status (resources, schedule duration, activity constraints, relationships of activities, critical path)
* Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.
* Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.
* Identifies and addresses changes within own job area
* Works to achieve operational targets
Qualifications:
* Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, majoring in Finance, Economics, Management or General Business
* GPA of 3.0 or greater
Preferred Skills:
* Knowledge and/or experience in financial stability, analysis, negotiations, cost/schedule development, budgeting, Excel spreadsheets, customer/management reporting, accounts payable, financial analysis and reporting, accounts receivable, financial systems, financial planning, financial modeling, corporate forecasting, contract compliance and/or business acquisitions
* Attention to detail - Data accuracy is of the upmost importance.
* Working in a team environment supporting various organizational needs.
* Be an active participant in maintaining a high level of quality and pride of workmanship within the Program Finance Office.
* Excellent Software PC skills including: Microsoft Project, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
