Job Description:
Responsible for meeting program technical, schedule and cost objectives. Tasks include:
* Administration of existing configuration management toolsets, including end user support
* Analyze proposed product design changes to determine their effect on the overall system
* Lead multi-discipline teams on various assignments
* Establish configuration management plans in accordance with established procedures and contractual requirements
* Prepare Configuration Management cost plans for task orders and proposals
* Performing audits to verify compliance with contract requirements
* Authorize the release of drawings and changes specified by Engineering
Essential Functions:
* Provide Configuration Management Support including CCB facilitation, Drawing/Document Release Control, Management/Control of Government Assets, expert knowledge of GOES-R CM Tools and Processes
* Provide expertise knowledge transfer to teammate/peers
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years in a Configuration Management role.
* Experience with EIA-649C Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software
* Active Public Trust (Department of Commerce)
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Experience in a fast-paced continuous change development environment
* Ability to work individually and as a team member to achieve team objectives
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office, IBM Rational Suite (ClearQuest and ClearCase), Agile PDM
