Asset Management, Alternatives Operations Project Manager, Vice President

Job Description

Asset Management Operations is looking for an experienced project manager to play a leading role in the design and delivery of a strategic transformation program in our Alternatives team. The programs objective is to design and implement a scalable global operating model and fully integrated technology architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end to end project management from initiation to post implementation. The individual will partner closely with technology, operations, senior stakeholders and external service providers, to successfully deliver on this large scale global initiative.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage program throughout the program lifecycle :- including solution design, development, requirements definition/analysis, testing, production implementation and post implementation review.

Coordinate, schedule and oversee project plan and assigned workstream activities through detailed management and oversight.

Develop and deliver management and program related documentation (ex. presentations, executive reporting, and steering committee material).

Lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional stakeholders at varying leadership levels to drive execution and delivery.

Ensure appropriate business analysis, process mapping and process re-engineering are conducted.

Proactively identify and manage risks, issues and provide clear actionable solutions.

Communicate overall program status, risk, issue, milestone achievement and progress; ensure alignment of goals and activities among program workstreams and across parallel initiatives.

Partner with other teams to source, allocate and coordinate resources.

Lead change control as requirements and priorities shift through planning and execution.

Monitor and manage program compliance to governance structure and practices.

Manage program logistics (e.g. meeting and schedule coordination, agendas, minutes, dashboards).

Qualifications

Exemplary planning, organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail; process redesign experience highly desired.

Strong/Expert level in Powerpoint with experience producing executive-level communications/presentations. Strong fluency with other MS Office tools (Project, Visio Word and Excel).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to comfortably interact & communicate with senior executive audience.

Ability to adapt and pivot to changing priorities, meet deadlines and effectively execute in a fast paced environment; Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Proactive approach to problem-solving and prioritization, complemented by strong decision-making capability.

Strategic and innovative thinker, adept at identifying and understanding complex problems/issues and developing appropriate action plans, utilizing multi-disciplinary perspectives.

7-10+ years experience of project and program management with successful track record leading and managing large global transformation programs with specific focus on complex business, operations and technology delivery.

Significant business experience using various project and program management methodologies in a variety of environments.

Industry knowledge of Alternative investment products (trading life-cycle, fund accounting & E2E process across front, middle and back offices).
