Title: Part-Time Student-Administrative-Product Engineering-East Moline IL - 70406
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
This position offers an opportunity to learn and be part of a highly productive team that focuses on product improvement. This position will also provide insight to how John Deere operates from design inception, to the customer and field performance. In this position one will be a leading proponent in identifying and resolving issues that directly affect the customer.
Your Responsibilities
* Conduct weekly warranty reviews/analysis for crop care products
* Work with warranty team to determine if action is required and drive resolution
* Support Data Analysis Team (DAT) meetings with warranty data and Evidence Packages
* Perform various analytical exercises that support Crop Care product teams and their efforts to reduce warranty
* Update and maintain Crop Care data, SharePoint and shared drives
* Responsibilities will focus mainly on Crop Care Seeding and Tillage products
What It Takes
* Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Engineering; others may apply
* Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
* Graduation date of May 2022 or later
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
* Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
* 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
* 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
* Wiilingness to learn John Deere warranty tools and systems
What Makes You Stand Out
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy
* Understanding of farming equipment and systems
* Desire to resolve engineering problems
* Good understanding of Excel (data manipulation and pivot charts)
* Knowledge of database and data acquisition tools
