Jacobs is seeking a qualified AV Operations Technician professional to support the IT Service Management (ITSM) contract at Scott AFB, IL. The AV / VTC Operator will provide operational support of AV and VTC systems in USTRANSCOM conference rooms, training rooms, auditoriums, senior leader offices, video walls (e.g., 1900E Lobby, Rear Lobby), signage systems, and command center work areas on Scott AFB.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide operational support for AV/VTC from 0430-2200, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays
- Serve as Equipment Custodian (EC) for the AV / VTC office.
- Provide on-site AV and VTC support, to include but not limited to, briefing assistance for all events (e.g., meetings, briefings, distinguished visitor visits, award ceremonies, retirement ceremonies, and command presentations) in the Seay Auditorium and Heritage Hall (Building 1900E)
- Provide on-site AV and VTC support, to include briefing assistance, for USTRANSCOM Commander (TCCC), USTRANSCOM Deputy Commander (TCDC), and USTRANSCOM Chief of Staff (TCCS) attended briefing events at Scott AFB
- Assist with administration of core VTC infrastructure devices including Cisco Video Communication Servers (VCS) and Multipoint Control Units (MCU)
- Schedule and operate VTCs using Cisco Multipoint Control Units (MCU) in secure and unclassified VTC environments
- Provide on-call support as requested with a two (2) hour response time - this may be extended to 24x7 during real-world events, contingencies, exercises, or as required by USTRANSCOM
- Provide user assistance and instructions for operating USTRANSCOM AV and VTC systems
- Setup, test, and operate Audio Visual (AV) systems within USTRANSCOM IAW USTCI 33-7
- Setup, execute, and take down fixed and portable Video Teleconferencing (VTC) service and equipment in support of USTRANSCOM mission requirements
Assist in providing metrics and analysis of equipment installation activities, trouble tickets, and incidents (with special attention to senior leader level issues in a weekly activity report)
- Office supply tracking and ordering
- Open and track incident tickets as applicable, utilizing the Government-provided ITSM tool suite

QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree or a total of 3 years of related experience. The minimum of a Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.

Essential Functions

Physical Requirements
Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required.

Work Environment
Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%).

Equipment and Machines
Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems.

Attendance
Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%). Must be able to support 24 hour Weekend/Holiday On-Call Operations and respond onsite within two (2) hours of notification.

Other Essential Functions
Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. The minimum of an Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.
