International Paper, the nations premier producer of corrugated containers is currently accepting applications for hourly production positions at its Fort Smith North plant located at 4500 Newlon Road, Fort Smith, AR 72904

Primary general box worker labor duties / responsibilities include:

- following all safety rules and practices;

insure product safety

- reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements;

- identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders;

- performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met;

- Accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment;

- inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications;

- identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials;

- Accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records;

- keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations;

- maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;

- maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and

- performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

Position requirements include:

* Manufacturing experience preferred
* Stable work history
* Ability to work overtime/weekends
* Fundamental computer skills
* Reliable transportation
* Willingness to work any shift

NOTE: General Box worker is the entry level position for new manufacturing associates. Starting pay is $16.37 per hour
