Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Reports to

Plant Manager

Job Purpose

Maintain and update Shipping and Receiving records for material moving through the Recycling Collection Center

Shift 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Umbrella responsibilities of all employees:

* Assist and support implementation of EHS initiatives and strategies to reduce risk including but not limited to the areas of: OSHA, ergonomics, injury / illness reduction, hazard communication, environmental, emergency preparedness, and general employee safety
* Supports LIFE areas, Safety Leading Indicators and Global Program Elements
* Ensures a clean and safe work environment
* Adhering to Plant policies and guidelines
* Working safely and looking out for the safety of those around them
* Following Safe Reliable Methods (SRMs) or Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards
* Attending and participating in Plant safety meetings.
* Managing controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
* Reporting any safety or maintenance concerns
* Be able to work a flexible work schedule

Key Responsibilities

* Schedule all customer requests according to production schedule, work with plant superintendent
* Handle truck scale to effectively coordinate inbound and outbound trucking activity
* Submit availability to marketing team/ Sales Representatives
* Process/Enter shipments through OEI
* Maintain a bill of lading and receiving reports
* As a point of contact, assist sales & marketing team in a timely manner to resolve customer concerns/inquiries (May include: production rejection, bill of lading discrepancies, claims.etc)
* Print new Plant Orders daily through OEI
* Run an Incomplete Shipment report + a Duplicate Shipment report. Work with assigned Customer Service Rep(s) to finalize Incomplete Shipments during the month& for Month End purposes
* Work with CSR to remove any shipments from Hold status. (Incomplete shipments may lack final weights, missing price, missing release etc.)
* Enter material receipt data into Material Receiving System (MRS)
* Assist team and Recycle Reps with clearing exceptions (including intercompany)
* Handle incoming calls on company phone (land line)
* Data entry
* May be required to complete additional assignments as needed

Personal Protective Equipment

* Gloves, approved safety glasses, ear plugs, safety vest, hard hat, steel toed shoes

* Computer

Information collected and exchanged

* Communicate with loaders, and un-loaders for material received and shipped.
* Communicate with floor lead for status of inbound and outbound loads.
* Communication with plant manager to update the status of daily, weekly and monthly materials shipped, received and in inventory.
