Job Description
We are seeking a Wireless Systems Engineer with system design knowledge of Bluetooth.
A successful candidate will be responsible for:
Define software, hardware and associated test requirements for both discrete as well as converged multi-radio architectures in order to support the rapidly growing list of new Bluetooth use cases.
An innovation mindset and performance optimization skills under high throughput, low latency, and low power constraints is highly desirable.
May work on developing (or optimizing) Bluetooth algorithms such as Channel Classification , Link Quality Assessment, Transmit Power Control, and/or Coexistence with WiFi and Cellular.
Work closely with the platform integration and performance tuning teams on various platforms and form-factors.
Collaborate with the Multi-Comm SoC & platform architecture teams, silicon teams, software/firmware teams, production enabling teams, integration & validation teams, and program management to create a robust solution meeting or exceeding the market requirements for both OEM and end-user customers.
Support Bluetooth systems definition activities, and likely some WiFi activities as well, for a new generation of high-performance Multi-Comm SoC solutions targeted primarily at various segments of the PC Client market (Mainstream, Ultra-High end, Gaming, Creator) as well as new markets such as digital televisions and embedded markets such as headsets, mice and keyboards.
Will also participate in cross-organizational topics and are expected to represent Bluetooth technical content to marketing and customers.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
* Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills and be familiar with wireless protocol analyzers.
Qualifications
You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineer, or similar technical STEM degree
10+ years of wireless systems design experience.
10+ year of experience with the following:
* Writing detailed specifications.
* Perform architecture and design analysis and modeling.
* Accompany the design, integration and validation phases as the Bluetooth systems expert for product features.
* Lead complex feature integrations.
* Troubleshooting problems to delivery of the product is complete at the highest quality levels
* Conduct design and code reviews with developers; Resolve technical issues raised by the development team
* Review unit level test cases with developers and AV test cases with the Silicon Validation team.
* Assist management with effort estimations for new product features
* Serve as the technical interface to teams outside of the group; Work with multisite organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's Degree or higher in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineer, or similar technical STEM degree
