Software Intern - Advanced Applications

Come and join us for a summer Internship! Intel is seeking highly motivated students to join the BXD (Barefoot Switching Division) in our Data Platform Group (PCG) as a summer Intern! We're a vibrant team which helps drive Intel's programmable switching technology and products to position Intel Tofino as the switching platform of choice and for the Cloud, Data Center, Enterprise and Telco network deployments.

Responsibilities:
As a Summer Intern on our Advanced Applications team, you will be responsible for research, development or test of a component of our system, based on your experience and interest. You will pair up with a team member to identify and develop an execution plan for your project.

Qualifications

You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must be pursuing a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.

6 + months experience in:
C/C++, GoLang or any other object-oriented programming
Working in a Linux/Unix environment

Preferred Requirements:
Enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering

6 + months experience in any of:
L2/L3 networking protocols
P4 data-plane programming
Developing or troubleshooting distributed systems
