Come and join us Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join the BXD Barefoot Switching Division in our Data Platform Group DPG as a Customer Solutions Engineer. We are part of the Connectivity Group CG inside Intels DCG and were looking for motivated passionate and talented engineers to join our Customer Engineering team. We are a strong vibrant team which helps drive Intels programmable switching technology and products to position the switching platform of choice and for the Cloud and Data Center network deployments. In this role you will act as a consultant on ethernet switching system implementation and provide technical support to customers who are developing their solutions. You will be a product evangelist and prepare collateral as needed to present best practices for use of the Tofino line of products to ensure customer success. The ideal candidate would enjoy being an expert on a broad range of topics be creative and find solving problems to be rewarding. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Provide deep dive technical support to Barefoots customers in areas ranging from design review of system architecture and software to bring up and validation of customers solution ensuring customers path to product delivery

Provide expert knowledge to allow customers to design and layout their systems utilizing switches

Provide technical training demo consultation and hands on assistance to developers in areas of system architecture source code development testing and tuning of hardware components. As a system and technology expert author technical papers on Barefoot's technology and develop training courses for customers. Provide feedback and aid product definition of next generation products.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 6+ years of industry experience
4+ years of experience in development troubleshooting and supporting systems featuring high speed SerDes
3+ years of experience in networking

Additional Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in diagnosing and triaging signal integrity issues with PAM4 based SerDes
3+ years of experience with operating diagnostics on merchant switch silicon
3+ years of experience supporting customers during design in product life cycle
5+ years of experience with Python scripting
5+ years of experience with C++
