This position is associated with the sale of Intel's NAND memory and storagebusiness to SK hynix (You can read more about the transaction in the press release - https://newsroom.intel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/11/2020/10/nand-memory-news-q-a.pdf). The transaction will enhance the resources and potential of the business' storage solutions, including client and enterprise SSDs, in the rapidly growing NAND Flash space amid the era of big data.

As the global leader in the semiconductor industry, Intel possesses many industry-leading SSD technologies including the most capable Quadruple Level Cell (QLC) NAND Flash products. As a Applications Engineer, you will be part of a world-class team that will transition to lead the SSD business at SK hynix.

This position aligns to Phase 1 of the transaction, which includes the 3DNAND enterprise and client SSD business. Phase 1 is expected to close in late 2021, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. At deal close, all employees aligned to this phase of the transaction will transition to SK hynix.

The NSG Application Engineer is primarily an OEM Client engineering position . Significant contribution also result when the AE acts as a product evangelist, program/project manager and a marketer. Application Engineers act as consultants and provide support to OEMs, ODMs, partner companies.

Key Duties and responsibilities: Make sure that SSD products run best on Intel's latest and upcoming platforms and technologies. Support and influence SW/FW/HW developers during all phases of development cycle incl. feature definition, project setup, project execution, tech support for goto market. Providing technical training, consultation, and hands on assistance to SW/FW/HW developers in areas of architecture, technologies, development, testing and tuning of SSD. Work with OEM and own the requirements to feed back to the business unit for development, validation, qualification. Program manage customer OEM deliverables to get the OEM product qualified and launched to market.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent

4 years or more of hands-on experience in computer Systems and/or platforms especially debugging or testing HDD,SSD platforms

Ability to support meetings with customer on phone evening hours. Ability for international travel up to 10 percent of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with OEMs or ODMs preferred

Knowledge of client desktop or mobile preferred Knowledge of SATA,PCIE,NVME preferred
