The Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) Software Engineers will design, develop, deliver and support leading edge scheduling, execution control, and dispatching capabilities for Intel's advanced Assembly Packaging factories.

Software Engineer is responsible for (but not limited to):

* Analyzing, prototyping and experimenting with factory wide planning, scheduling and dispatching algorithms and solutions that optimize output, cycle time, and equipment utilization with environmental requirements and constraints throughout the factory.

* Developing proof of concepts and initial pilots utilizing heuristics, optimization, statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning methods to solve novel and diverse manufacturing decision problems.

* Working with automation and manufacturing engineers to create algorithms that optimize factory performance in various scenarios.

* Interacting with manufacturing engineers, factory planners, industrial engineers and automation engineers to create integrated solutions that improve manufacturing output and productivity.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school, work and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:

* The candidate must possess Master of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Management Information, Systems, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum of 6 months of experience with:

* math programming languages, scripting languages, data mining, visualization, and factory simulation tools preferred (CPLEX*, ILOG OPL Studio*, Python Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).

* in software design/development on Microsoft Windows platform using Visual Studio, .Net Framework, WCF, WPF, XML, Oracle/MS SQL databases.

* Software engineering practices, source control management, and automated testing methodologies.

* Production Planning and Control or other areas of manufacturing execution planning or decision support systems is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Graphical UI development experience, especially using Applied Materials' APF Framework experience is a plus.

* Familiar with and motivated to work following Agile/Scrum Methodologies

* Experience with Semiconductor Assembly/Test Area processes is a plus
