Job role description: Associate Test Specialist
As an Associate Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure were delivering the best of the best. Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike.

Work you could do as an Associate Test Specialist:
Participate in the design of the technical test benchmark
Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, REST, SOAP, Cucumber, Test Script etc.
Create test data and test environments
Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead
Identify errors and validate successes for any software solution
Verify fixes after they are applied to a test system and verifying the results of test cases
Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes
Identify, analyze, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications
Analyze and present test results to clients and project teams clearly

the CIC:

* The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Monroe center (aka: we work in a traditional IBM Agile office setting).
* Travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel approximately 50% of the time.
* You must live in, or be willing to relocate to, LOUISIANA. The work location is 150 Venable Lane, Monroe, LA 71203. This is not a work from home position.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Basic understanding of the process of Software Testing
Introductory development background
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts
Ability to thrive in an ever changing, technology based consulting environment, using agile

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
* Knowledgeable on design, creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools
