PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Provides highly crafted mechanical and electrical expertise to support the automated machining processes. Ensures safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.

MAJOR SCOPE:

* Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
* Troubleshoots, repairs and makes improvements to Paper Treater and/or Press Lines to minimize downtime.
* Work directly with Siemens S-7 PLCs, Lenze positioning and vector drives, HMI systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical systems and related components.
* Participates in Total Productive Maintenance activities and projects as directed by Technical Lead.
* Participates in additional technical training when available.
* Implements controls and procedures to meet established quality standards for the customer.
* Expected to fully operate the machines and makes appropriate adjustments as needed.
* Continually look for process improvements to cut costs and increase efficiency.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

* Associates Degree in Electronics preferred or equivalent experience
* Minimum High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

* 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment
* 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
* 1 year of forklift experience
* 1 year of personal computer experience
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and associated controls
* Experience troubleshooting complex problems using schematics and computer resources

COMPENTENCIES:

* Basic computer skills
* Basic math skills
* Mechanical aptitude and/or machine knowledge
* Problem solving skills
