Job Description

The Administrative Assistant must work well in a team environment, have strong written and verbal communication skills, exercise discretion regarding access to sensitive information, and conduct themselves accordingly with customers and in front of audiences. The candidate will be responsible for validating that individuals have been granted the clearance approvals to be read into appropriate classified data and/or programs, and for notifying the requester if it is necessary to update or resubmit clearance requests. In addition to this administrative support, the candidate may facilitate a segment of the briefing related to the classified data/programs. With guidance, the candidate will review database information to validate that the individual has been granted approval for access. Upon validation that the access information is accurate in the database, the candidate will produce and print the correct forms in preparation for the individual's briefing and signature. The candidate will respond in a timely manner to inquiries from the customer on the briefing requirement for their personnel, to include specific course offerings and available seating based on day and location. Upon completion of security briefings, the candidate will assist with scanning applicable security forms into the sponsor's clearance tracking database for archival purposes . The candidate will need to be able to travel within the Washington metro area using sponsor-owned or personally-owned vehicles to briefing locations and may need to be on their feet during presentations. There are no extended or on-call hours associated with this position, but eight core hours per day within the 6am and 4pm timeframe will need to be established and kept.
