Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Network Systems Analyst to provide technical support for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The Network Systems Analyst will serve in a vital program role, responsible for creating hardware and software configurations in order to improve the functionality of a network system.

Analyze the network system performance
Develop capacity reports and capacity management plans, as well as a strategy to maintain optimal system performance
Make capacity change recommendations that will enable optimal system performance with trade off options
Work with the Network Architects and Engineers to gather capacity data, identify trends, help to define capacity metrics, identify opportunities for improvement
Develop improvement plans and approach that enable IT services and supporting infrastructure to meet targets for capacity
Ensure network standards are met by monitoring communications protocols, evaluating router performance and recording data transfer speeds
Support the efforts to deploy SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across the service area

Required Skills:
o Bachelor's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
o Proven hands-on network engineering experience and deep understanding of networking protocols
o Ability to analyze, test, troubleshoot, and resolve problems, as well as identify deficiencies and solutions to improve the network environment
o Working knowledge of cabling infrastructure
o Effective communication and time management skills
o Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards
o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
