The position is within Human Resources and reports to the Manager, HR Analytics. It can be located throughout the service territory (OH, PA, NJ, W VA, MD) with regular travel required.



This position will analyze complex business needs related to employee and HR data and answer critical questions leveraging this data with a focus on Diversity and Inclusion. This position will generate and test hypotheses, explore and analyze datasets, develop data pipelines, create and enhance reporting solutions, and build accurate predictive models to understand trends and produce actionable insights across our D&I efforts.



The successful candidate will have strong communication and consultation skills to understand business needs across the organization. Ability to translate data into easy to understand models and visuals that utilize internal and external data sources that will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. They should have a strong eye for design and visuals and be willing or experienced to work in an agile methodology. This individual should have a deep passion for Diversity and Inclusion and helping the business understand and solve problems.





Responsibilities include:


Work with HR leadership and business stakeholders to generate and test hypotheses that answer business questions
Develop relationships with HR and business teams to help them understand the value of analytics and organically build the analytics demand pipeline
Develop and manage the semi-annual Diversity & Inclusion report
Collaborate with others to fully understand HR data, processes, and programs to effectively raise and answer the right business questions
Build and maintain models to enable and improve data-driven decision making
Mine complex data to identify patterns and trends
Advise and consult with HR and business stakeholders to review, refine and improve HR and business processes and practices based upon understanding of data
Develop relationships with business teams to help them understand the value of analytics and organically build the analytics demand pipeline
Help business leaders craft questions to generate maximum value using analytics
Help analytics business teams turn business questions into user stories
Translate analytic solutions to the business to ensure effectiveness and applicability to business stakeholders to drive value from those insights
Share concepts to bring empathy to data; bring data analytics storytelling best practices to the team
Help with analytics use case prioritization and build prioritization framework over time
Understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies








Qualifications:


Two- or four-year degree in a related discipline is preferred (Business, Data Science, Math, Statistics, Social Sciences, Engineering or Technology), with minimum 4 years relevant work experience required. In lieu of degree, High School diploma or GED required with minimum 7 years relevant work experience required. Relevant work experience will include general experience in business strategy, change management, project and program management, business analytics reporting, and resolving business issues through data and analytics.
Experience in the implementation of complex programs and projects.
Experience providing customer-focused support, both internally and externally.
Experience in building positive relationships and working with peers cross-functionally, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration.
Understanding of statistical analysis to ensure metrics are accurate and meaningful.
Demonstrated proficiency processing, manipulating, and generating insight from large data sets of structured and unstructured data.
Strong critical thinking skills and communication skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to bring clarity to ambiguity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and knowledge of Access).
Ability to think critically and strategically about organizational data governance, warehousing, and design solutions that meet needs.
Ability to guide other colleagues and lead research efforts in a cross-functional team.
Experience applying machine learning techniques to appropriate application.
Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, preferred but not required.
