Job Description

Facebook is seeking a Program Manager to join our Global Data Center Connectivity (GDCC) team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly growing infrastructure efficiently operates and our innovative services are delivered. The GDCC Program Manager will provide operations program level coordination and oversight to our data center cabling installations, with emphasis on new builds and retrofits in North America, EMEA, & APAC. This role will be accountable for cost, schedule, and resources, and is expected to provide key support of our initiatives to scale operations and to develop robust processes and tools enabling Facebooks expansion.

Program Manager, Global Data Center Connectivity Responsibilities

* Gather, define, refine, and drive requirements for program process, standards, and system implementation needed to monitor & control design and construction programs across multiple geographic regions

* Further develop program scheduling and resource planning framework (labor, material, cost) for working with design teams, field teams, execution vendors, material vendors, and cross functional stakeholders

* Design and maintain new and current analytics programs to track program schedule, financial commitment variance, and program performance

* Define & evaluate KPIs derived from program milestone, estimate, spend forecast, and cost/resource loaded schedule performance

* Provide regular executive readouts and recommendations to GDCC and cross-functional leadership based on KPI analysis

* Collaborate with stakeholders, functional owners and subject matter experts to interpret business and operations needs and articulate how they can be addressed in partnership with programs teams

* Define and maintain GDCC program updates to global integrated master schedule efforts

* Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at project locations

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

* 7+ years professional experience in construction program management

* Experience providing oversight of timelines and budgets for projects across a global portfolio

* Experience working independently within a multi-disciplinary team of operations engineers

* Experience with Primavera P6 portfolio management, ERP, Cost Control Systems

* Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in working in a large-scale data center environment

* Deep network knowledge and a understanding of key infrastructure commonly found in Data Centers related to power distribution and fiber-optic cabling

* Experience in data center construction, planning, coordination, and development

* Knowledge of fiber optic and cabling technologies and standards

* Master degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or Finance
