Job Summary

Collins Aerospace Eng & Technology - Mission Systems organization is seeking a Sr Infrastructure Specialist with a passion for problem solving and satisfying customers! Job Responsibilities

* Act as focal point for Lab IT services at Richardson, TX facilities
* Create, recommend, and manage technical solutions including but not limited to antivirus solution management, patch and vulnerability solution management, event log audit solution management, backup solution, etc.
* Act as point of contact for internal lab users (Engineering) for technology consultations and requests for all Mission Systems Secure Labs (domestic US) - up to 10% travel may be required
* Build technology roadmaps for lab environments in partnership with key stakeholders
* Work breakdown for systems life-cycle upgrades & delegate to peers as needed
* Drive lab escalations to resolution and effectively communicate to engineering customers and leadership
* Create and implement tool & process improvements to increase customer satisfaction & efficiency
* Secure Infrastructure maintenance activities may include:
* Weekly Windows/Network/Firewall Log Auditing
* McAfee ePO Administration (Policy, Installation/Configuration)
* Operating System Deployment, Patching, Troubleshooting, Configuration (System Hardening)
* Network/Firewall Routing/Configuration
* Coordination between Programs/DISA for Connection/Encryption Key

Job Attributes

* Builds strong relationships with customers and peers
* Receives little instruction from leadership and is expected to delegate to peers when appropriate
* Responsible for requirements capture activities within the team including both customer and derived technical requirements. Ensures use cases, workflow, and requirements are accurate and complete
* Create solution Matrix w/ cost & schedule
* Has an advanced understanding of information technology in multiple areas including; client, server, networking, storage and backup
* Has significant troubleshooting skills and experience which can be leveraged to provide solutions to complex problems. Ability to automate tasks via multiple scripting or programming languages.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework)
* Working knowledge of NIST 800 Series (National Institute of Standards and Technology)
* Advanced knowledge of IT Systems Administration, including;
* Computer Hardware Installation and Troubleshooting
* Documentation of process and procedure
* Data Storage / Backup
* Firewall / Networking
* Windows Operating Systems Troubleshooting / Auditing
* Directory Services & Policy Management
* Powershell scripting
* SIPRNet Administration
* General knowledge or Engineering software and tools such as Atlassian for Application Lifecycle Development.

Basic Qualifications:

* Candidates for this role should possess a Bachelors degree and 7 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience.
* Active Secret Final or TS/SCI equivalent security clearance from a US Federal Government Organization is required for this position, any candidate must hold a verifiable clearance.
* Security+ certification
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
