Overview

The System Administrator II, Web will facilitate support, troubleshoot and monitor the corporate web site and over 500 related company web sites. This role will also liaison between the Corporate Communications department and Lennar IT on projects, deployments and troubleshooting within Lennars web environment.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide deployment, administration and operational support for corporate web entities
* Provide technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of web site related issues and coming up with respective solutions
* Creates and maintains web application environments on multiple platforms
* Works with FTP servers to provide access for internal and external resources and setting up virtual directories, user permissions and SSL protocols
* Migration, configuration and deployment of MySQL databases for staging and production environments
* Works with Network and NOC engineers to ensure proper web site monitoring, load balancing, VIP provisioning, failover and high availability of web applications and services
* Applies industry best practices to increase reliability and performance of web properties and systems
* Participate in weekly calls with Corporate Communications team and act as a liaison between their web initiatives and resources and teams with IT Domain name administration including acquisition, auctions, renewals, DNS
* SSL certificate administration and support 24x7 coverage and response to alerts during after-hour periods
* Ensures that requests for web sites, server configurations and DNS entries get routed properly through change management
* Apply communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues
* Draw upon deep technical knowledge to assist internal teams in making informed decisions
* Other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or certification required
3+ years relevant work experience
Experience with both Apache and IBM HTTP servers, Microsoft IIS, LAMP and LEMP stacks
Experience with associated web technologies (HTML 5, ASP.NET, XML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Shell scripts)
Demonstrated experience with cloud environments and cloud applications: Web Apps, App Service Plans, Azure IIS.
Experience with domain name administration including purchasing, auctions, creation of subdomains, redirects, etc.
Experience with website security methods including SSL encryption and certificate administration
Deep understanding of web site infrastructure and architecture including supporting PROD, QA and DEV environments
College diploma or University degree in the field of computer science, information technology, engineering or equivalent relevant work experience / certifications
Site building experience with HTML or PHP
Full understanding of integrating, testing, evaluating and modifying web-based systems
MySQL experience
FTP experience
WordPress experience a plus
Employs ingenuity and flexibility to come up with solutions to advanced technical challenges
Keen attention to detail
Creative problem-solving abilities
Able to prioritize and execute tasks and work under deadlines
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong customer service orientation
Drupal experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary.
