Reporting to the SPS Head of PMO, the Global Director Project Management partners with the Leadership Team to develop world-class project execution effectiveness, idea-to-profit cycle time reduction and is responsible for the continuous improvement and evolution of the Company-wide Project Management MOS (Management Operating System) including:

The framework for Project Management within the business.

The Honeywell New Product Development Processes and other project management processes within the business

The Honeywell Project and Portfolio Management system

The role will provide project management expertise to coordinate the activities to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and complete the delivery of the key requirements for each (NPI, R&T, EWR, PCR and Productivity, etc.) and drive portfolio management tool releases in support of the Project Management Organizations goals.

This role will own the business operations function within the PMO, helping drive key decisions via timely and consistent reporting of metrics in areas of project execution and financials. Responsible for helping drive the buildout of online dashboards that allow near real-time reporting of PMO Execution metrics.

In addition to analytics, this role will be responsible for helping drive Agile Transformation across the business by partnering with the Process Excellence team and providing project management expertise and insight into industry best practices for formulation of the SPS Agile Development Process (Z21) and the needed maturity scorecards.

This key role will also be responsible for building project management capability within the business.

Ability to travel up to 20% to 30%

RESPONSIBILITY:

Continuously improve the business Project Management competency and framework.

Develop, and continuously improve Product Development Processes

Develop, and continuously improve Project and Portfolio Management System and capability.

Manage external partnerships for the development and continuous improvement of the Project Management MOS.

Identify and resolve inconsistencies in the definition or use of the standard work and escalate risks when appropriate.

Define and present regular updates to key stakeholders that are timely and accurate

Create and Implement Standard Reporting and Dashboards

Support Ad-Hoc Reporting needs

Drive improvements (process & execution) using data trends

Responsible for enabling and mentoring a high performing team which will deliver on business vision and objectives.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelors Degree

10+ years of Technical Project Management Experience both HW and SW

10+ years of experience with Stage-gate and Agile Project Mgt. methodologies

PMP Certification
