What youll be able to do:
Our hourly workforce is critical to the success of our organization and the creation of our best-in-class mobility solutions. In this key role, you will provide vital support to ensure we are able to attract, hire and retain an exceptional team of hourly personnel. You will partner with Operations to build a skilled and motivated team that works together to live out our vision of forward-looking automotive leadership. You will:
* Administer plant Rate & Classification agreements
* Effect transfers, promotions, non-promotions, etc.
* Post job openings and assess merit and ability
* Maintain disciplinary files in accordance with record retention
* Conduct wage/classification and SUB audits
* Process all documentation related to hourly/union employees
* Administer the I9 verification process
* Recruit hourly candidates for testing and hiring
* Conduct new employee orientation
* Handle changes to addresses, dependents, taxes, marital status, etc.
* Maintain grievance log
* Process bereavement, jury duty, Article IX payments
* Manage 5-Day Quit notices
* Provide Unicare coordination
* Administer moving allowances
* Conduct creditable service reviews and family day audits
* Calculate and adjust vacation accrual
* Support the General Auditor's Office with weekly transaction reporting
* Coordinate vacation shutdown
* Oversee direct deposit
* Coordinate charitable donations
* Support lawsuits and government agency complaint administration
The minimum requirements we seek:
* Associates degree
* 1+ years of experience with MS Word and Outlook
Our preferred requirements:
* Two or more years of human resources or data processing experience
* Two or more years of experience with Kronos preferred
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong attention to detail
* Familiarity with human resources compliance regulations
