Brief Description of the Organization
North America (NA) Consumer Banking: over 30,000 professionals working together to provide consumers with credit card, retail banking, wealth management, small business, mortgage and payment products and services. Within NA Consumer Banking there are two primary product lines and multiple enabling functions. The two product lines are US Retail Banking and US Branded Cards. Enabling functions include, but are not limited to, Client Experience, Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Technology and Partnerships.
Within the US Retail Banking group, the Segments & Product Team is responsible for designing and delivering differentiated and competitive value propositions to defined client segments. These segments include mass market, emerging affluent, affluent, small business and international personal banking. This team is also responsible for new product development, ongoing product enhancements and ongoing profitability management for deposit and payment products. The deposit and payment products include, but are not limited to, checking, money market, CDs, money movement and fund transfer capabilities. The team provides strategic leadership for Citibanks consumer and small business products.
This position is responsible for supporting the design, development, and execution of key strategies and programs to drive the business performance of Citis offering for the Small Business Segment. This will include building marketing and sales support programs through understanding client needs and marketplace dynamics, and to deliver against business objectives across key segments of Small Business. These programs will drive acquisition, retention, and deepening/engagement of Retail Business accounts. . This role will work closely with Marketing, Sales, product teams, and key partners such as Credit Cards, Decision Management, and Finance.
Responsibilities
* Manage programs that foster acquisition, engagement, retention, product penetration, segment profitability, and enhancing client experience.
* Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies for acquisition, retention, and deepening.
* Advise and provide insight and recommendations on innovative and strategic product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as support aspects of product development life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field
* Build client journeys and client experience for customer engagement for today and the future.
* Partner with various functional areas to develop promotional offers and marketing to drive client growth.
* Work with research to develop strategies based on research results.
* Develop programs to acquire more multi-relationship customers.
* Partner with sales teams to develop and execute sponsorships, lead lists, local events, trade shows, Blitzs, and Small Business Month activities.
* Develop and execute client communications for the Paycheck Protection program.
* Responsible for the segments internal website for redesign, updates and revisions
* Programmatically work with the Business Bankers to better understand customer issues and desires for the future.
* Manage internal communications to the field.
* Manage vendor relationships for leads, lead sheets, internal website, and insights.
* Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives
Education:
* Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred
Qualifications:
* 8-10 years of relevant experience in retail bank marketing, product, and/or segment programs; familiarity with Small Business segment needs
* Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve goals
* Demonstrated experience leveraging management information and data analytics to drive results
* Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as needed
* Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
