Regarded across the enterprise as an expert in multiple identified areas of expertise with responsibility for developing standards and enterprise-wide best practices and for engineering complex, largescale technology solutions to address highly complex and cross-organizational issues. Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices. Maintains broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and collaborating with other key experts to ensure we are making the right technology choices for Wells Fargo. Translates advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions.

Expert resource for architects in the development of target architectures to ensure that they can be properly designed and implemented through sound engineering practices. Maintains knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Provides expert counsel to senior technology leadership and advises and mentors others with the goal of knowledge transfer. Will represent Wells Fargo to external industry groups, influencing industry standards. The primary responsibility will be leading and participating in software development as part of a high-functioning Agile team. Project work requires the ability to execute well across the entire development life-cycle and within each of the application layers: presentation, business logic, and data. This position participates in all stages of the application development life-cycle and will work on Wealth and Investment Management Technology Agile teams to provide application design, development, and testing utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.

Responsibilities include:

* Hand on Development with JAVA and .NET
* Leading and directing work of less senior development team members.
* Partnering with product owners, architects and technical leads to understand and interpret requirements needed to drive development activity.
* Architect and design supportable technical solutions for complex business requirements.
* Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications for complex computer platforms and applications.
* Develop customizations for projects and production enhancements.
* Improving processes to make them simpler, faster and more secure.
* Provide support and maintenance of existing customizations and application functionality.
* Triage/debug issues and identify root cause and corrective actions.
* Staying current on new technology

This position can be based at the Wells Fargo site location in Saint Louis, MO or Minneapolis, MN.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of software engineering experience
* 3+ years of experience leading technical development teams
* 7 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
* 5+ years of experience leading the requirement design process with both technical and business partners
* 5 + years of technical design experience

Desired Qualifications
* An industry-standard technology certification
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* 4+ years of Web Services experience
* 3 + years of experience developing Single Page Architecture (SPA) web application using ASP.NET MVC, Knockout, Javascript, or JQuery, or with frameworks such as Angular.JS or HTML 5
* 1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience
* 3+ years of Fortify Code Analyzer experience
* 3+ years of Splunk experience
* Knowledge and understanding of AppDynamics

Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience working in Agile development methodology and Scrum

* Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
* Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
