The Portfolio Manager 2 position is the most senior level position focused on: training, developing, managing and mentoring Middle Market Bankings financial analysts during their six-months in the Development Hub, with two sessions per year.

Responsibilities include:

* Manages a large credit portfolio of commercial banking relationships within the Development Hub and works closely with Middle Market Banking (MMB) financial analysts on the related credit reports.
* Develops, updates and delivers line of business specific learning content to the Development Hub financial analysts.
* Responsibilities include working with line leadership, relationship managers and credit managers to monitor and grow Middle Market Banking relationships.
* Accountable for credit underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and renewals and annual reviews.
* Manages and promotes the maintenance of a portfolio that adheres to all applicable credit policies and compliance requirements.
* Works with Middle Market Banking offices directly to understand credit needs and represents the bank in developing and maintaining client relationships.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of account relationship management experience, credit underwriting management experience, or a combination of both

Desired Qualifications
* Underwriting experience including advanced commercial or specialty group relationship portfolio credit
* Experience negotiating interest rates, price, terms, and collateral requirements
* Knowledge and understanding of commercial and specialty group banking products and services
* Solid knowledge and understanding of credit policy, loan servicing, risk management, and group underwriting requirements
* Strong commercial credit analysis skills
* Experience with partner/collaboration efforts with a Business Banking Group and/or a Wholesale group (RCBO)
* Experience with risk training
* Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
* Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams

Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience/interest in developing and coaching early talent

Job Expectations
* Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
