The Staff Program Manager will play an integral project management role in global integration programs impacting thermofisher.com as part of the eBusiness team. The Staff Program Manager will also be the liaison between eBusiness Leadership, stakeholders and various integration teams to ensure bilateral communication of capabilities, priorities, standards and status.
What will you do?
Program Management
* Drive large initiatives from initiation to implementation thru to hypercare care support and closure.
* Coordinate multiple projects and/ programs simultaneously
* Function as a liaison between eBusiness leadership/stakeholders and various integration teams to ensure bilateral communication of capabilities, priorities, standards and status
* Influence stakeholders in highly matrixed organization
Project Management
* Oversee all aspects of assigned programs including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk to ensure successful delivery
* Ensure projects adhere to the companys formal Project Management Framework, leveraging best-practices and are fully aligned with the Project Management Office (PMO).
* Ensure projects are properly progressing using the appropriate software development lifecycle approach, e.g., SAFe, Agile, Waterfall
* Project and Program Management Subject Matter Expert
* Maintain extensive knowledge and expertise in the discipline of project management as well as multiple business processes and/or technical areas
* Provide general guidance to other employees and must have a demonstrated ability to influence others
* Develop and maintain expertise in all tasks related to thermofisher.com including technical capabilities and development, documentation, content, and lead management
Support eBusiness Team in Program Execution
* Participate with management and other PMs in establishing best practices in project management methods and tools.
* Working as a team member on special projects and other CDT activities as needed
How will you get here?
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience. Masters degree a plus.
* 3 years of successfully managing complex cross-functional Enterprise-level IT programs such as eCommerce, CRM, financial systems and mergers/acquisitions. M&A/Integration experience is a plus.
* 7 years of project and/or program management with increasing responsibility and complexity.
* Proven ability to work in a heavily-matrixed environment.

* Solid organization, analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
* Strong focus on continuous improvement with ability to quickly learn and apply to project
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills a must, including facilitation and negotiation

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of organization
* Managing program budgets, schedules, plans, resource allocations, and priorities
* Various industry PM methodologies including Agile, SAFe, Waterfall
* PMP, SAFe and SCM certification a plus

* MS Office 365, including advanced MS Project, PowerPoint and Excel
* Jira, SharePoint, Confluence
* HPE PPM and PlanView is a plus
