Job Description
Front End Applications Developer to develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise / departmental IT systems. The developer will create wire frames and concept art and implement the designs in a production web application. The developer will take an active role in to defining and implement the look and feel of web applications. The developer will implement graphical user interface components and screens that drive business workflows to view and edit documents. This position requires expertise in developing the front end of web applications in a team environment where customer focus, cooperation, communication, and continual tradecraft improvements are the norm. Must have excellent debugging skills, work independently, and interact well with others. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Government Clearance. This position is located in the Herndon area.
Required Skills:
* Familiarity with Front End languages such as JavaScript/Typescript, HTML and CSS
* Familiarity with Angular 5+ and its ecosystem, as well as popular component libraries (Angular Material)
* Familiarity with UX/UI and the ability to take a concept from design to code
* Some experience working with RESTful APIs
* Knowledge with Java and Spring Boot
* Must know how to use an IDE (ex VS Code, IntelliJ)
* Knowledge in relational databases (ex - Solr / Oracle / MySql)
* Some experience working within a Linux environment (ex - Bash scripting, VI)
* Self-starter with ability to work cohesively with others as well as independently (MUST leave ego at the door)
* Ability to work well in a constantly evolving work environment
* Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance
Desired Skills:
* Familiarity with Google's Material Design language/system.
* Familiarity with source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins)
* Experience with wire frame tools such as AdobeXD, Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch
* Comfortable working with interactive data visualization tools such as D3.js
* Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
* Hands on experience with cloud technology (AWS / C2S)
* Experience in an Agile/SAFe environment
* Experience with testing frameworks (ex Selenium, Cypress, Junit, Mockito, Swagger, Postman, KarmaAPIMocker)
* Experience with Python
Required Education:
Candidate must have obtained a bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or similar field within the past 18 months or by summer of 2021. A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your transcript with the application.
